Karen was born in Norfolk, CT to the proud parents of Thomas and Janice Nice. Her mother is an American and her father is from Poland. Karen is the oldest of 3 children. She has a brother named Michael and younger sister named Tiffany.

Karen has aspired to be an actress all her life. She has been studying acting since 1992. She recently co-starred in an independent short film called "Reaction" which will be coming independent movie theaters soon. Although, Karen prefers film work best, she has an extensive commercial career, including national commercials for Bud Light and ReMax. Karen has also been in many Industrial films and played the lead character in numerous plays.

Her career was started at the early age of 12 years old, pursuing a career in modeling. She continued to model until 1996 when she decided to study acting full-time. She also has studied jazz and modern dance for 14 years and is currently kickboxing.

Karen has an enormous love for animals. She donates to many organizations including PETA, the Humane Society, and the Wildlife Foundation. She has four cats named Shannel, Sheba, Sasha, and the only male cat named Sam, who she says is the true love of her life. She often carried cans of cat food in her car. When she comes across any stray animals she will try to feed them. She says that it is the biggest joy watching a homeless animal having at least one good meal.

She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her best friend is her sister Tiffany, who is also a actress and a very talented singer. They share many of the same interests, including a love for animals, working out, shopping together, and their favorite past time is going to plays and the movies (wonder why?).
